This class will explore the connection between current issues and their historical developments. We will first study Asian American historical highlights in the first 5 weeks and look into the ongoing anti-Asian sentiment which leads to much violence against those citizens.
In the second part of the semester, we will look at the diverse history of American women and its impact on today's gender issues.
Both section will heavily rely on an assigned book.
